Introduction

Beihang University (BUAA) was founded in 1952 as the first university in China focusing on aeronautical and astronautical education and research and among China's first 16 key universities in the 1950s. In 1980s, BUAA is among the very first 22 academic institutes that established graduate schools in China. Today it is one of the nation’s foremost research universities supported by China’s Project 211 and Project 985.
